Mr Andrew Muir

Managing Director

Mr Muir is a highly regarded mining executive with 28 years’ experience in the mining and finance industries, originally graduating as a geologist in 1993. He has a strong background in gold exploration and geology, coupled with strong economic evaluation and corporate experience. He joins Caprice from NTM Gold where he was responsible for significant exploration success, growing NTM Gold’s Mineral Resource from 227koz Au in 2018 to 679koz Au in 2020, which ultimately resulted in the takeover by Dacian Gold, completed in March 2021 for $90 million.

Mr Muir is an experienced geologist with time spent equally across both exploration and mining operations. He was instrumental in the discovery of the multi-million-ounce Wallaby deposit whilst at the Granny Smith operations. He has previously worked with Great Central Gold Mines, Placer Dome and Goldfields Limited.

Prior to NTM, Mr Muir worked at Argonaut Capital, where he was an Associate Director with Argonaut’s Corporate team. He was also a resource analyst for JP Morgan, Hartleys and PCF Capital, having won the 2009 Starmine/AFR Stockpicker of the year whilst at Hartleys.

Mr Muir holds a BSc. with Honours from UWA and is Fellow of FINSIA (F FIN).

Mr David Church

Non-Executive Chairman

Mr Church is a consultant providing general counsel and mergers and acquisition services to Regent Pacific Group Limited, a company whose securities are listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. David has more than 20 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance in Australia, the UK, Europe and Asia with expertise across multiple sectors. David has worked on domestic and international corporate transactions as well as major international equity offerings for corporates and investment banks.

Mr Church is a qualified solicitor and has practiced in Australia, with Clayton Utz, and in the UK and Hong Kong, with Linklaters. Mr Church is also currently a director of Hammer Metals Limited.

Mr Mick Caruso

Non-Executive Director

Mr Caruso has 40 years of practical and administrative experience in the operations of remotely located civil, mining, earthmoving and mineral exploration throughout Australia. Mr Caruso was the majority shareholder of Goldview, vendor of the Island Gold Project and brings across with him a wealth of knowledge on the project and the broader region.

Mr Adam Miethke

Non-Executive Director

Adam is a geologist with extensive experience in the metals and mining sector. Adam worked at Rio Tinto, Snowden and Regent Pacific Group where he was involved in assets globally before joining Argonaut as Director of corporate finance, where he led the groups metals and mining division. He was a former Director of Calidus Resources Limited (ASX CAI) and serves as a Director and Treasurer of the CoRE Learning Foundation. Adam holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (First Class Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology, MBA from Curtin University and is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and Society of Economic Geologists.

Mr Chris Oorschot

Exploration Manager

Mr Oorschot is a geologist with over twelve years of experience in the exploration, development and mining of Western Australian projects. His development and mining experience includes both open pit and underground deposits across a range of deposit styles.

Mr Oorschot brings a high level of technical expertise to Caprice with a strong background in exploring and developing projects within complex stratigraphic environments and structurally controlled mineralised systems. Mr Oorschot also has significant experience in the development of geological models with a focus on assessing and communicating both geological and economic risk.

Mr Oorschot most recently served as the Exploration Manager for Dacian Gold, during which he oversaw the re-structuring of the company’s Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves, lead the geological due diligence for numerous strategic opportunities and the implementation of revised targeting and exploration strategies. During his tenure at Dacian Gold Mr Oorschot has designed, supervised and logged over 300,000m of AC, RC and diamond drilling in both exploration and production environments.

Mr Oorschot holds a BSc. Applied Geology with First Class Honours from Curtin University, is a Member of the AIG, a Member of the AusIMM, and a Member of the Society of Economic Geology.

Ms Oonagh Malone

Company Secretary

Ms Oonagh Malone is a principal of a corporate advisory firm which provides company secretarial and administrative services. Ms Malone has over 9 years’ experience in administrative and company secretarial roles for listed companies and is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia and Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ms Malone currently acts as company secretary for ASX-listed Boss Resources Limited, Carbine Resources Limited, Clancy Exploration Limited, Hawkstone Mining Limited, Matador Mining Limited, New Century Resources Limited and Primary Gold Limited, an unlisted public company. Ms Malone is also currently a director of Carbine Resources Limited and Hawkstone Mining Limited.
